The Energy Supplement
The Energy Supplement is a goverment energy scheme, set up as a part of the Polish Energy Law. It aims to aid the energy poor and vulnerable consumers in covering their energy expenses.

The Energy Supplement is a government energy scheme in Poland, set up as a part of the Polish Energy Law. It aims to aid the energy poor and vulnerable consumers in covering their energy expenses, both gas and electricity. It is a subsidy scheme for the vulnerable energy consumers.

The Scheme commenced in January 2014 and it will continue at least to 2023. Continuous call for applications. | |

Covering monthly energy expenses. | |

Monthly subsidies paid directly to the beneficiaries. | |
To whom is the financial measure addresses (eligible beneficiaries) | |
To be elligible for the subsidy, the beneficiary must be considered a vulnerable energy consumer. To do so, the following criteria must be met: · the beneficiary must be elligible for the housing supplement · the beneficiary must have a contract for energy delivery with an energy company · the beneficiary must occupy the area to which the energy is delivered as a part of the contract | |
How to request the financial measure | |
The beneficiary must fill in the form, attach the contract for energy delivery and deliver these documents to the local Social Assistance Center or City Office. Usually, the beneficiary will know the decision if they have been awarded the energy supplement in 30 days (if the case is complex, the date is extended to 60 days). | |
